I have been tracking the number of SPAM comments various bots and individuals have attempted to include in my weblog. The volume is simply getting out of hand. Since I started the weblog in Dec. 2006, there have been 754 SPAM comments. 526 of those were in November and December, 2008. This is only the third day of January and there have already been 15 SPAM attempts (ok, 16 since one more came in as I wrote this post). [For those who are curious, the majority of attempted SPAM comments related to illegal prescription drug sales]. I thought a little graphic below would illustrate this (we will discuss this more in some of my classes in the Spring, 2009 semester).
Thought I would try a creative effect with the #2024Eclipse.
And it begins. #2024Eclipse
Scammers are at it again. Let’s see - not an Illinois’s area code, not a proper top level domain for a government agency and more.
Encountered this creature at the start of our walk at Forest Park Nature Center today. Our entomology group outing this month.
