Student Organizations

Students who wish to learn more than can be offered in a classroom setting are encouraged to actively participate in both SkillsUSA and WOW. The former has a statewide web contest held every April in Springfield. Winners of that contest are eligible to compete in the national contest held each June in Kansas City. ICC students have done well in these contests each time they have been offered and I am most appreciative of the hard work and dedication that these individuals have demonstrated. We are very proud of their accomplishments. The World Organization of Webmasters is an opportunity for students to demonstrate leadership skills besides those found in a web contest. We have student officers as well as numerous opportunities to meet with practicing web professionals. Follow the links (SkillsUSA and WOW)to learn more about these opportunities.

We also have a local Adobe User Group chapter. Meetings often coincide with the local student chapter of WOW. More details can be found at our website – http://illinois.groups.adobe.com.
