Mozilla Labs introduced an interesting approach to connecting the web to language. It seems similar to the concept of mashups, but allows for this to happen without having to write any code (mashups for the masses, so to speak). This is a very early prototype and does seem to have some user interface issues. If you experiment with it, I would be interested in your observations and comments.
