Mozilla Labs – Ubiquity

Mozilla Labs introduced an interesting approach to connecting the web to language. It seems similar to the concept of mashups, but allows for this to happen without having to write any code (mashups for the masses, so to speak). This is a very early prototype and does seem to have some user interface issues. If you experiment with it, I would be interested in your observations and comments. More details can be found at Mozilla Labs (Ubiquity).

Google releases a browser

For those who haven’t yet heard the news – Google has released a browser – Google Chrome. Details can be found at http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/fresh-take-on-browser.html

I would be interested in your thoughts regarding this browser (it seems to be based on WebKit with bits of Firefox). WebKit is baed on open source software and was the foundation for the OS X Safari browser in Apple Macs. Google also has a comic book explaining this browser.
